Doors Open Ottawa 2017

Scouts Canada's National Museum is part of Doors Open Ottawa 2017!

Canadian Scouts have fun and unique experiences while developing into confident and valued Canadian citizens. View our impressive displays of photos, uniforms and memorabilia capturing more than 110 years of Canadian Scouting. We invite you to visit us and help to celebrate the important contributions that Scouting has made to Canada’s Heritage. Did you know that VE3SHQ is the call sign for National’s former Jamboree On The Air (JOTA) radio station? Come to our National Museum on June 3rd and 4th and witness this 1970 Radio equipment in full operation. For more details about our Museum and the joint Doors Open event with Voyageur Council, find us on Facebook.com at “Scouts Canada National Museum” or by clicking here.

In June 2011, the first year that our National Museum participated in the City of Ottawa’s Doors Open, CBC Radio broadcasted a Public Service Announcement (PSA) that is as relevant today as it was then,  Have a listen!
