Voyageur Council Woodbadge I

In-Person on April 28, 2018

Voyageur Council will be hosting a Woodbadge I in-person training this April!



Date: April 28, 2018

Time: 8am to 6pm

Location: Scouts Canada Headquarters, 1345 Baseline Rd (Multi-Purpose Room)

Cost: $10 (Bring Your Own Lunch); Pizza available for order at $2.50 per slice

Registration Deadline: April 22, 2018



Who is this training for?

  • Current active Scouters who need to complete their Wood Badge I in Canadian Path by the end of the Scouting year
  • Current active Scouters with the older Wood Badge I who would like to update to Canadian Path
  • Scouters and Parent helpers who are brand new to Scouting, or want to learn more about volunteer opportunities

Pre-requisites

It is recommended that all Scouters be listed as “Active” in MyScouts. Ensuring you are Active includes:

  • Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
  • Completed References
  • Signed Code of Conduct
  • Completion of introductory training: Scouting Fundamentals and Respect in Sport
  • Council Approval
  • Interview completed with Group Commissioner

It is not mandatory that everything be complete prior to participation, but it is recommended, and will need to be completed prior to Scouters becoming Active.

How do I register?

To register, please visit the Woodbadge I registration site (by clicking this link or the button below) and complete and submit the registration form. When you submit the registration form, you either have the option of paying immediately via PayPal or you can elect to pay on the day of. To make things easier, you can also pre-order and pay for the amount of pizza you would like on the day of, if you are not bringing a lunch.
