Voyageur Council presents: Summer Scout Days 2019

Check out these amazing all sections events!

  • All events are pre-arranged with the vendor
  • All events are available for a $10 deposit (to be refunded upon event attendance)
  • Please arrange your own supervision for each event
  • Please arrange your own transportation
  • Please register with your group/section
  • No food or drink will be provided

(Limited seating available, Registrations on first come first serve basis)

Valley Adventure Tours – May 11th (Cub Scouts and older only)

Take a tour of Madawaska valley and Barry’s Bay on an ATV. Your tour guide will make regular stops to enjoy the scenery or spot some of the local wildlife.

Each Group must consist of 3 adults with a G license and 3 passengers ages 8 and up. (2:4 can be accommodated but 1 youth will ride with the Tour Guide).

Time Slots: 8-10 AM, 10:30 AM-12:30 PM, 1-3 PM, 3:30-5:30 PM

Location: 2-182 Lakeshore Dr, Barry Bay (Subject to change pending conditions)

Fly Fishing Canada – June 15th (Cub Scouts and older only)

Learn Fly Fishing from Team Canada, the Canadian Champion, and the former Coach of the Canadian Youth Team. You will be introduced to the basics of entomology, practice knots and of course, cast a fly fishing rod.

Time Slots: 9am – 12pm, 2pm - 5pm

Location: Andrew Haydon Park, Ottawa

OCR Obstacle Academy - July 6th (Ages 7 and up)

Putting the fun back in functional fitness. You will be learning how to move more efficiently as a human being, you will be able to swing like a monkey, and jump like a mountain goat for 2hrs. 

Time: 2pm (subject to change)

Location: 1140 Morrrison Drive unit 106B, Ottawa

Registration Deadline: June 21st


Kingston 1000 Islands Cruises – July 14th

Enjoy a cruise on the triple deck ‘Island Queen’ as it traverses the St. Lawrence River and winds its way through the small cottage islands of the Admiralty Group featuring Napoleon’s Hat, Wanderer’s Channel, the Bateau Channel, the opulent Mandalay Mansion and the historic sights of Kingston.


Time: 2-5 PM

Location: Crawford Wharf – 1 Brock St.

Rideau Valley Conservation Authority – July 23rd

Beaver Pond Bonanza - Beavers aren’t the only critters in our pond! Using nets, basins, and fact sheets, Scouts will get up close and personal with the animals that call the pond home. Hear stories of how these curious critters have adapted to life under water and how they fit into the food chain.

Time Slots: 10am – 11:30 am, 1pm – 2:30 pm

Location: Foley Mountain

Voyageur Canoe Tours – Aug 17th

Take a guided tour on a 34-foot replica voyageur canoe with experienced guides in voyageur costume. The tours provide a leisurely exploration of both the natural and historical aspects of the Rideau Waterway.

Time Slots: 10 AM-12 PM, 1 PM – 3 PM

Location: Eccolands Park
