About Camp Opemikon
Camp Opemikon, situated on Christie Lake 20 minutes west of Perth, has been serving the camping needs for more than half a million youth since 1938!
Owned and operated by Scouts Canada, our completely co-ed residential camp boasts a 250 seat fully insulated dining hall with commercial kitchen. Campers stay in one of our six heated lodges; or in one of our 15 Cub cabins; or at semi-serviced to wilderness tenting sites. Sites front on three lakes and are located throughout the camp’s 200 acres to provide Groups with privacy and space to conduct program activities.
Camp Opemikon is fully compliant with Scouts Canada’s property standards. These standards require strict adherence to regulations and guidelines in areas concerning health and safety, facilities and equipment, leadership and staff, programs, wilderness travel, transportation and administration.
As you can well imagine a camp of this magnitude requires constant upgrading and repairs all of which require substantial funding.
Thank you for your kind consideration and tremendous support.
