Whispering Pines

The camp is 21 acres of wooded rough terrain ideal for wilderness terrain and designated sites with a large playfield and good access from the lake or the road

Program Activities and Sites

21 acres of mixed woods and scrub land that affords different types of trees and flora. There is an additional 1000 acres that can be used for programming.

There are no buildings on site but one 53 ft trailer that is used for storage and can be used by a small number in case of an emergency

As the camp is kept in near wilderness condition many program ideas can be used , at the camp there are about 3 km of maintained hiking trails. The beach area is shallow and has been used many times for canoe training which it is ideal for .

All Age Groups. Each site has a fire pit and one large campfire area which will seat 120



There is a 180ft . Drilled well with a hand pump. None on site



500 feet with 50 feet used for beach , balance is left in natural state 4 sets of mens and womens

The camp was leased in 1982 from Rideau Conservation and withall the volunteer help was developed into a camp that serves the needs of a large age group from Beavers to Rovers.
