The Camp Opemikon Online Auction is now Open!

The Opemikon Online Auction is now open for a limited time, so don't delay in getting your bids in! The auction will run until Nov 26, 2017.

All proceeds from the auction go towards helping build new Cub cabin roofs. These cabins are used for youth to stay in during summer camp program and for many Scouting, Guiding, and other youth organizations to stay in while attending camp.

This two day St John Standard First Aid course with AED and CPR, is open to adult Scouters in Voyageur Council, hosted by Carleton Area.

The cost for the course is $55 and is payable through Lynn Levitan at the Council Office with registration. Registration should be completed using the form attached below.

Registration is capped at 18 participants.

This is a one day Re-certification for St. John Standard First Aid hosted by Carleton Area.

It is open to adult Scouters in Voyageur Council for whom it has not been more than 3 years since their previous Standard FA course.

Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) 2017

Event Description

On October 20 to 22, 2017, JOTA will celebrate its 60th Anniversary. JOTA is the largest on-the air gathering of Scouts in the world. Scouters of all ages gather together with fellow Scouts around the world by two-way radio. This year, the Scouts Canada National Museum will be holding an Open House to invite Voyageur Scouters and Youth to come and join us at the Museum to witness and join in the fun. Our Amateur Radio Station, call sign VE3SHQ, will be operating for the whole weekend, under the guidance of our official radio operator and his team.

Event Description

On November 4, at various Metro stores across Ottawa, Voyageur Council will be hosting a food drive for the Ottawa Food Bank!

Cubs and Scouts will be at the Metro stores during the day collecting food and cash donations, which will be picked up with the assistance of Purolator. Once picked up, the food will be brought to the Ottawa Food Bank where Venturers and Rovers will be sorting the food and counting the money.
